The Communications Electronic Security Group Code of Connection (CoCo) is a list of security controls with which ALL local authorities must be compliant before their Government Connect Secure Extranet (GCSX) circuit can be activated. This applies to local authorities who are taking a direct connection, or who are connecting via an aggregated gateway.
More and more councils across Britain are undertaking assessments of all of their IT solutions, to establish if they are complaint and if not, what needs to be done.
This is not something to be ignored. Once it has been established that an area of the IT Infrastructure is not compliant, if not addressed, the ultimate sanction against non-compliance is disconnection from the GCSX - which would have a catastrophic affect on any council.
AIT Partnership Group can help! Not only do we have extensive in-house expertise, whether it be our wireless consultants or our team of engineers, we have also undertaken a number of CoCo compliant installations over the last year and can provide case studies to demonstrate our level of service.
